Teradata Vantage is a powerful multi-cloud data platform that enables companies to analyze all types of data across multiple sources and formats. Its purpose is to help businesses unlock the full potential of their data and turn it into actionable insights that can drive growth and innovation.
Our design team was tasked to create a centralized design system and product ecosystem for all of its offerings. This platform was the result of a challenging project that involved gathering design assets and employees from around the globe and spanning nearly 40 years of operation.
During this project, a design team was tasked with creating a design system, UI platform, and product offering that could be used across all of Teradata's applications, from Kubernetes container orchestration to advanced SQL editors and graphical data pipeline management software. The result was the Covalent UI Platform with the "OneUX" centralized design team, which allowed for a new product design ecosystem for the new "Vantage" cloud offering.
The Covalent UI Platform was developed to provide a consistent user experience across all of Teradata's applications and offerings. This allowed for a more streamlined design process and allowed the company to focus on developing new features and products that could be used across all of its applications.
What you see today on the Teradata website is the portfolio of 7 years of work, much of which originated as a prototype that was either handcrafted or designed by the Covalent UI Platform team. The result is a powerful and comprehensive data platform that is trusted by companies around the world to help them unlock the full potential of their data.
